Lijst Dedecker is a Belgian political party founded in 2007 by former member of Flemish Parliament, Jean-Marie Dedecker. It is a liberal-conservative party that advocates for free-market economics, individual liberty, and limited government intervention. The party supports a reduction in the size and scope of the welfare state, a simplified tax system, and in general, a more laissez-faire approach to economic policy.
Lijst Dedecker was successful in the 2007 Belgian federal election, winning four seats in the Chamber of Representatives, making it the fifth largest party in Flanders. However, it failed to gain seats in subsequent elections. In recent years, the party has struggled to maintain its influence and has faced internal disagreements and defections.
